Welcome to the Katagu Lutheran Teachers College Admissions Portal. We are now accepting applications for the 2025 academic year. Our admission process is open to:
- 🎓 Grade 12 school leavers
- 📄 Matriculation (FODE/University Centre) students
- 👩🏫 In-service and current primary school teachers (for upgrading)
We aim to provide equal learning opportunities to both male and female applicants from all regions of Papua New Guinea who feel called to serve in the field of education.
🎓 New Student Admission Requirements
- ✅ Grade 12 certificate (original + certified copy)
- ✅ Must have passed English and Mathematics
- ✅ Completed online or manual application form
- ✅ Pastoral reference letter (for church members)
- ✅ 2x passport-size photos
- ✅ Character reference from former school or employer
👩🏫 In-Service Teachers (Upgrading)
We also accept qualified teachers currently in the field who want to upgrade from a Certificate to Diploma or continue into the Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching.
Teacher upgrading is offered through short courses, bridging programs, and full-time academic pathways.
- 📃 Certificate in Elementary/Primary Teaching
- 📃 Work experience letter (3+ years preferred)
- 📬 Provincial Education Board recommendation letter
